Honoring George Floyd by Centering Action

Honoring George Floyd by Centering Action

It has been a year since George Floyd’s name became known the world over. His murder by a Minneapolis police officer has sparked global protests, activist movements, and many long overdue and difficult conversations. And while it’s important to take time to recognize the hope and progress we see around us, it is also important to see the oceans of work needing to be done for a truly equitable society.

The George Floyd Memorial Foundation is asking supporters to honor the anniversary of Floyd’s death by joining its mission of ending systemic violence against Black Americans and continuing the fight for justice. Use your voice to contact your local officials, support critical legislation, and donate directly to programs uplifting the Black community.

Visit the George Floyd Memorial Foundation for direct links to call your senator, a useful social media toolkit, voter registration links and information on organized police reform. Let’s honor the life of George Floyd by continuing to push for justice.
